Field Day 2017 is quickly approaching, and we are so excited for a fun-filled day of games and activity! The event will be held on Friday, June 2nd, with a make-up day scheduled for Monday, June 5th in the event of inclement weather. We will set up multiple activity stations, and a tent for students to refill water bottles if needed. Please make sure your child brings a water bottle with them, so they can have water during transitions between stations. The PTA has provided us with tents to allow volunteers to have a shady spot to cool down.
The scheduled times are: K–1st grades will participate from 8:30–10:00, 2nd–3rd grades will participate from 10:30–12:00, and 4th–5th grades will participate from 12:15–2:15.
We need quite a few volunteers to help make this event a success, so please sign up using the following link on SignUp.com: http://signup.com/go/hZApkZg or contact the PE department using the email addresses below. Please ensure that your CMS volunteer status is up to date, or if a new volunteer you may also register at https://www.cmsvolunteers.com/ as you will need to be cleared by CMS to volunteer at the event.
On Field Day, please make sure that your child wears sun screen to protect their skin. Remind them to wear light, breathable clothing so they can stay cool and closed-toe activity shoes so that they can safely run and play.
