FALL BOOK FAIR
September 20 – 24
The Fall Book Fair at Sharon Elementary is in full swing this week! Every purchase from the book fair (in person and online) earns rewards for our school.
IN PERSON FAIR:
Students will be visiting the book fair in the media center with their classroom teacher one time this week. Please send any cash and coins for book fair purchases in a sealed envelope or plastic Ziploc bag labeled with the child’s name, the teacher’s name, and the amount of money provided. *Families may use the book wishlist flyer to plan their purchases. It includes even more books than the Scholastic flyer that was sent home last week. Please print a copy, put your child’s name on it, circle your child’s choices, and have them bring it to the book fair on their scheduled day to visit along with their money. Adult volunteers will help your student find books and make purchases. In addition, parents/guardians who have signed up for in person shopping on Friday, 9/24 may also bring the wishlist along with them. Print copies of this wishlist will also be available on the cart outside of the school’s front door and at the in person book fair.
Families may also shop online (now until Sept. 28th) where there are even more book choices from Scholastic to browse and/or purchase. This is also a great place for students to preview what is available at our in-person fair and then put together their book wishlist before attending in person with their class. Just click here, sign in, scroll all the way down to the bottom, and click on “Shop the Virtual Fair.” Please use your HOME address for delivery if you make any online purchases. Free shipping for book orders of $25 or more!
A SPECIAL INVITATION TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
This year, a limited number of parents/guardians will have the opportunity to sign up to shop in person separately from students on the last day of the book fair. Each shopping session on Friday, 9/24 is 30 minutes long with a 10 minute interval in between to adequately space everyone out. We are only allowed 11 individuals per session, so please plan to arrive at your designated time, to wear a mask, and to bring a license or passport to sign in to Lobby Guard in the Main Office. Please note that students will not be allowed to come to the Media Center to shop with parents/guardians during this time. In addition, book fair visitors are being asked to stay in the Media Center the entire time they are in the building. The book fair accepts cash, credit cards, and/or checks payable to “Sharon Elementary.”
If you would like to shop in person on Friday, 9/24, please sign up (on a first-come first-served basis) for ONE spot below:
Thank you so much for your support. We look forward to seeing your student at the fair.
