Join the Sharon PTA
Dear Parents, Teachers and Friends:
Welcome back to school! We are looking forward to another great year at Sharon School. One of the reasons Sharon School is so successful is the active involvement of our parents. One way to become more acquainted and involved with our school is to join the PTA.
Annual dues are just $7.00 per person (or $14 per family) and one payment covers all of your children at Sharon. Teachers, grandparents and anyone else concerned about the well-being of our children are welcome to join. Payment can be made by cash or check payable to Sharon PTA. You can include your PTA payment with the PTA Combined Payment form or bring it to the office. Please note on your check: “PTA membership.”
Your dues support each level of the PTA organization. For every $7 paid by Sharon PTA members, $1.75 goes to the State PTA, $2.25 to the National PTA and $3.00 stays here at Sharon. It is through the state, national and local PTAs that we represent a powerful voice for school children. The National and State PTAs lobby the government for education funds and ensure that the needs of our children are addressed in the legislative process.
You are also invited to volunteer with the PTA in any capacity. We have plenty of opportunities to match your interests, talents or time availability. Please look through the Volunteer Information Packet for descriptions of all of our opportunities and return the registration form indicating your selection(s). Volunteering is a great way to be part of the Sharon community, to get to know others and to stay aware of all the wonderful things happening at Sharon.
Please help us provide everychild.onevoice by joining the Sharon PTA. We thank you for doing your part to further Sharon’s tradition of strong parental support and involvement.
